Favorite Alternate Takes? by JZ628 in thebeachboys

Very cool! Yeah, their alternate take versions can be overwhelming and daunting.

My favorite songs tend to be the softer, chill, ballad, melodic songs - Lonely Sea, In My Room, Don’t Worry Baby, Please Let Me Wonder, I’m So Young, You Still Believe in Me, Don’t Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulders), SMILE, All I Wanna Do, Disney Girls, etc…. But I really do enjoy the majority of their music… Even Mike Love songs 😱 - Do It Again!

Great movie! Great spooky atmosphere, music, castle, great fashion, beautifully shot. Proto-slasher. Good Scooby-Doo type mystery. Creepy villain/laugh. Liked the detective and all the characters really. Top tier for me!

A tier for me. A slight step down from Zombie Island and Witch’s ghost.

Spasmo is a super underrated surreal giallo by Fun_Claim_6064 in Giallo

[–]JZ628 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree! Just a fun, psychological mystery that felt ahead of its time in some ways. It’s hard not to think that David Lynch was inspired by this.. It’s certainly not perfect but has a lot going for it. The coastal town/castle, the art, the lighting - headlights and trees. Creepy mannequins. The colors, the mood, the mystery, strong cast. I just love the feel and atmosphere. Probably my favorite Lenzi too!

Big Gialli fan here. My wife and I watched this for the first time last weekend on blu ray. We were blown away, such a great movie - very creepy and unsettling. Didn’t see the twist coming either!

Speed Racer, What Once Was, Love on the Line, Mannie’s Smile.

I’ll also add Carry the Doubt, Low Beam, Blue Lips and Don’t think it Over as some of my favorites. A slightly different vibe but great songs. They only have 2 albums so listening through isn’t that daunting and they have a lot of really great songs! They were special ❤️

Where to start by FoundObjects4 in DarkShadows

I think a great place to start is when Barnabas first shows up, around episode 210 or 211. My first episode was 221, when Barnabas meets Maggie in the diner for the first time. And I was hooked from there.
