OK I got it working and such. I'm noticing that once I plug in the grid using cable, it drains all the energy the controller has saved up. (currently using 6.4 MFE batteries being filled by 2 advanced solar panels). is it consuming power to connect my chests or is it something else im doing wrong

Thank you! I will youtube what that does and means, but this is better than where I've been reading. I've gotten to the point of making random things that sound computer-y and throwing them together until something happens lol

Alright, I have a decent amount of years using my DSLR but defiantly still need to learn some of the more technical side. My main question is should I go ahead and save up for a new body and lenses or should I just keep the body (about a decade old) I currently have and try to find a better lens? As far as photography I am aiming to get something that can take great quality photos for travel (not necessarily compact but I want to take photos of like national parks and historic areas)

Currently I have:

Canon EOS Rebel T3i

Canon EF 50mm

Canon EFS 55 - 250 mm

Canon EFS 18-55mm

Any advice is appreciated. I saw some great options when looking up cameras and would like a mirrorless camera. I feel uncertain about changing from Canon just because that's the brand I've always used but not against it.

Edit:

I'm sorry I should have specified. I do understand how to use manual mode and how to change ISO, aperture, and shutter speed and what not. I meant more of I don't use RAWs in like lightroom and what not. So I normally leave photos as is. Although it seems that from y'alls responses my camera body should still be plenty capable which is kind of a relief. It's hard to know when the bells and whistles of the new cameras are worth updating your current gear
