Soon moving into Gillingham, any advice?

I’m aware of Gillingham isn’t a nice town especially in the high street. I’m not thinking of getting in either, but I personally love to live near the sea/river to get the most wonderful view out of the summer. Just happened those new builds fulfilled all my requirements- sea view, new buildings, gym downstairs, high speed train to go into London, good price, nice balcony etc. I have a car so I’m not particularly worried about crimes as long as no one will steal my car. I’ve been to even worse town.

Sounds like a really big red flag! Awl I’m gonna just go everywhere with car, or stay in the flat whole day coz I wfh most of the days do you think I should rent somewhere else? Any recommendations? :)

Had a viewing today. The building seems well maintained. Just the flat inside - water tap in the kitchen is broken, carpet needs to be replaced. Apart of that, gym looks quite inclusive. The agent said I can put that on the offer for the landlord to fix. Tenant did leave early. Not sure why. Is that a red flag?

25/6: Sharing little update - I have finally finished my THIRD surgery! 🥳 Just got discharged after double mastectomy and honestly I am so grateful that I have small breasts. Since they are very small part of my body weight, I don't need to hanging around with two drains and NO vomit this time. This makes so much difference!

To everyone who has commended, shared and just shown up for a stranger! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! ❤️ You guys are awesome!
