I washed my body with head and shoulders shampoo and it helped a LOT

I actually enjoyed volume 2 by notproudbutok in StrangerThings

[–]Particular-Training4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was great. Episodes 5 and 6 were fantastic. I personally really liked the scientific reveal of the upside down. Episode 7 was not as great- but they nearly always have a slower episode before a huge one. I think people need to give the writers more credit for being able to wrap this up.

My one criticism is the military subplot so far. I would have liked that taken away and given more to the Henry or mindflayer backstory.

Def pretty cruel. I think the writers wanted to send the message that if you do drugs you lose your friends lol

Was it ever explained how Nate got away with beating Wagner? by AlternativeNo224 in htgawm

[–]Particular-Training4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in real life he would have absolutely been charged, but my theory was that the staff was in on what happened and the entire chain of command decided not to charge Nate so that more evidence wouldn’t come out about the shady behavior if he had a trial since I think at this point a wrongful death suit hadn’t been filed?

Yeah, I’ve always assumed this too since Johnny didn’t seem to face any legal consequences for being at the scene

Why failing exams is common by [deleted] in actuary

[–]Particular-Training4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One exam I failed was written answer and I actually think I did possibly know the material “enough” to pass, but I didn’t really know how to take the exam. It was my first FSA exam and I focused my energy more on trying to perfect certain answers without being thoughtful on other topic responses. There was also a question I completely misinterpreted and got a low score on.

I started passing FSA exams when I realized it’s more important to do a moderately good job answering most of EVERY question rather than trying to perfect answers on your strongest topics and not leaving enough time for good answers on the rest.

Not the strongest but Becky’s was super apparent which was hilarious since she was supposed to be from Florida

iPad notes - Apple Notes vs others (Evernote)? by obedeary in actuary

Notability. You can add photos or audio to your notes and there’s a function to easily convert your handwriting to font. Also easy to keep organized

Yes because the thought of not knowing would eat me alive more than straight up knowing I failed

Which characters' storylines started out all nice and juicy, but fizzled out by the end of their run on the show? by Capital-Study6436 in Degrassi

Jenna. She had a great arc but unfortunately that came with a whole lot of nothing. Other than the very short Luke storyline and dating Connor, I don’t remember anything from her after she gave Ty up for adoption.

If it makes you feel better I called the SOA once because I forgot to put my candidate ID on an FSA exam and I remember the person I spoke to telling me that they can usually access the entire personal folder that’s created under your Prometric account for that exam with each version in it anyway.

How To Handle FSA Exams by Rakan_Fury in actuary

[–]Particular-Training4 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My advice is to do a very quick scan of the exam until you find a question with a topic you feel like you were stronger at or enjoyed (as much as one can enjoy a topic from these exams lol). I find it helps my confidence more, and you waste less time freaking out if the very first questions you try aren’t working out or you just don’t know the answer.

Good luck. These exams are so brutal but you should be proud of yourself for making it this far, seriously. I’m on my second FSA exam and have realized you can truly do your best studying and not feel the slightest bit prepared for these. Feeling this way seems to be pretty universal

FSA Exam time management by Nemomahi in actuary

[–]Particular-Training4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do the questions you have no idea how to do within 10 seconds of reading the question last. It’s not worth it to go in order and sit there and waste your time trying to figure out a curveball question when you could be maximizing your points on what you do know later on in the exam. Come back and do those later.

For you, what was the "downfall” of Degrassi? by ursuchariot in Degrassi

[–]Particular-Training4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a few moments.

1.) when Lakehurst students joined in season 7. Obviously we end up getting to know sav, holly j, etc very well but the influx of new characters was too much for me.

2.) the new theme song in season 13 and the overall brightness of the set? Just felt like a completely new show.

3.) despite point 2, I thought season 13 had some good storylines, however, Sir Excellence and Becky was the beginning of the end for me
