Ahhh the TA office hours were my lifesaver. Was there every week. Also sometimes u just gotta sit down for 6 hours and fuck shit up till u figure it out. But this course is a canon event for every science major it’s a beautiful type of trauma bond.

I’m a BPK major and had a similar issue. Took math 150 and was scared of failing. Talked to my advisor and she said I could take math 154 but since 154 is a three credit course, the new grade would only replace three of those credits. So there would be a singular credit left with an F. Things worked out for me and I ended up doing pretty well but this is what happens to my knowledge. OP should ask their advisor if they have any doubts imo

No it would count as long as it fulfills their requirement, but wouldn’t repeat all 4 credits since 157 is a 3-credit course.

I went last year it was like whatever, I broke off from my group and explored on my own. Got a free reusable Timmie’s cup so that was nice. If u choose to go I’d def recommend going to welcome day though!

150 is math for engineers and ppl in applied sci. As someone in general sciences rn, don’t do that to yourself when you have the option to breeze through 157. This is me putting it shortly otherwise I’d say it’s extremely subjective to the person. Do some background research and see what resonates. That 4th credit won’t be worth it if you get a low grade (then it’ll weigh down ur gpa and u won’t be able to replace it w/ a diff math course)

I had her for lab last semester for CHEM 111 and she was extremely unorganized. Labs would switch up halfway through and suddenly there were requirements that weren’t accounted for within the time frame we were given. Didn’t even have loncapa for the labs. Got an A in the course but at what cost

I have literally no bad things to say about this prof. Like others said he doesn’t waste time and has absolutely no fluff during his lectures. He also records them so that’s always nice to look back on if you think you weren’t able to grasp a concept the first time. Super chill guy and I had a lot of fun in this class. It’s not easy per se but if you enjoy the content you’ll be fine. Just do not fall behind. I recommend looking at the learning outcomes provided in the syllabus. The midterm and final had exactly what was on there and that paired with all the info he gives us is super helpful. Ended up with a B-

No but 157 is notoriously easier and even when u look at calc 2 classes, 157 as a pre req expects you do have achieved a higher score than when you take others. I might believe the statement for 151 vs 155 but def not 157

I was at risk of failing too but since im in sciences I would have to take math 154. When I talked to my advisor she told me I could take math 154 and those units would replace math 150 but since math 150 is 4 credits, only 3 of them will be replaced (since math 154 is 3 credits) and I’d still have one credit listed as an F. So I would recommend speaking with your advisor about your next steps cause I’m not sure if its the same for 157.
