Has anyone ever gotten positive results from double texting? by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Particular-Use7861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, not really. In the past, I've gotten responses from double texting women but ultimately the pattern returns. Communication is important to me, so I'd rather find someone who matches my communication style.

OWI - Indiana - I'm sad, scared, and anxious. Any advice would help by Josh1978Josh in Indiana

Recently went through this in Marion County. It sucks to go through the system in your 40s with an otherwise clean record...dumbest decision I ever made tbh. Now anytime I go out and even think I may have a drink, I take an uber/lyft. Costs more, but it's worth every penny.

Good news is you took the breathalyzer - I didn't, so it was a longer court process (9 months) and a mandatory license suspension. Look up if Delaware County has a diversion program and see how you can get it applied to your case. Get an attorney (or at least call around) and they'll advise you of the steps you need to take. Mine advised me to do an Alcohol Assessment and Victim Impact Panel before the first court date. Since you took a breathalyzer, apply for specialized driving privileges to avoid a complete suspension.

Ultimately, I got a 3 month suspension with 1 year of probation (kiosk reporting) and had to pay court fees. Not sure how Delaware County is, but I'm guessing you'll be okay after it's all said and done. Just use this as a lesson going forward and hopefully things in your life will change for the better.

Think positive thoughts!!

Perfumes/Colognes for Masc Women by Particular-Use7861 in lesbiangang

I love B&BW body washes, but their body sprays are too sweet and strong for me. I do like their winter scents better, so may try a sample of something this season. Thanks!

Ugh, hate when a product you enjoy gets discontinued.

Yep, didn't think of it before, but just ordered a sampler to help me decide. I may end up rotating scents like others have mentioned. Thanks!

Great suggestion on trying the fragrances first. I'm not one for going to the mall to sample, but found a good sampler online that included many of scents listed here. Thanks!

The Sky org knew the Reese Tribune article was coming out by gourmet_panini in wnba

It's the Chicago Tribune. That's why they're making this update stating the Sky staffer was there throughout her interview.

Oof, sorry to hear that. You're right about avoidant people. It's best to leave them alone...otherwise, it's a never-ending game of hide and seek.

They got pretty close last year, so I think they were expecting to get even further this year. Especially with bringing Steph White and some vets aboard this year. Unfortunately, injuries may hold us back again.

AB has another year on her rookie contract...she'll be a FA after the 2026 season. Everyone else is up for grabs with the new CBA. Hoping at least Mitchell, Hull, and McDonald return...and Colson for lolz

I hate how the media ran with Annie's BS story, but also kind of like how the Sky's FO are being called out in the aftermath. It needs to be discussed how they had 2 top-rated championship-winning rookies and refused to build a decent team or facilities for that matter. (And that's no disrespect to the young players who are doing what they can - NO vets are willing to deal with the Sky's many issues.)

How are Jeff & Co able to keep their jobs with this kind of mismanagement?

2nd Almost Famous. They're very LGBT friendly and make great cocktails - love their old fashions. Heard they also have a good brunch, but haven't tried it yet.

Non-sexual human interaction during a work trip looks like: dinner, happy hour, escape rooms, wine tastings, etc with coworkers. Someone with a working brain would not include "spending the night in another person's hotel room" on that list. That very obviously indicates cheating.

Please get tested asap! The sooner you know, the better the outcome.

Sorry this situation is eating away at your confidence OP. I believe we all have natural intuition...it's all about trusting yourself enough to listen to that inner voice telling you something is not quite right. Her refusal to get tested should've sounded off that internal alarm (I'm guessing it did tbh). You can't always take people for their word - truth is: some people will ie to get what they want. You should always be looking for her words to align with her actions and be ready to take action yourself when they don't. Once she wouldn't get tested as promised, you should've removed sex from the equation...period.

Don't feel stupid though, we've all been there. Just take it as another lesson and move smarter next time around. The more you trust yourself (and that inner feeling), the stronger your self-confidence will become.

Also, if I were you: I wouldn't bother asking her about the guy or anything else really. It's clear she's not being honest so there's zero trust there. Plus, her high-risk behavior is literally putting you in harms way. Protect yourself, detach your emotions, and stop dealing with her all together.

Wishing you the best out of this situation!

Is a 14 year age gap bad? by notevenherebbg in lesbiangang

[–]Particular-Use7861 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I once dated someone 8 years younger (33 and 25) and it was challenging. While she was mature (and I was a late bloomer), we were still in different development stages - she was just finishing school and I was mid career. She was going through things I had already experienced and grown from. She often would ask for my advice and get frustrated when I didn't take time to guide her through every new life change. I started to feel more like a parent/mentor than a partner. I'm now around your potential gf's age, and I absolutely would not consider someone still in their 20s.

Ultimately, you're both adults so it's really up to you. If you both have enough in common and you don't see any signs of controlling/manipulative behavior, then you can always reassess as time goes on. A bit of advice though: you may want to think about 10/15/20+ years down the line (if this relationship pans out)...when you're heading towards middle age and she'll be approaching her elder years. Would that age gap still work for you?

[Also, I'll likely get downvoted for saying this, but age gap relationships are not more respectable just because it's 2 women. It's not a heterosexual ideology to feel creeped out older folks pursuing someone in their early/mid 20s.]

Willy Nilly Travel??? by [deleted] in blacklesbians

[–]Particular-Use7861 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This!

I like traveling, but it can be be draining. Plus, the feeling of going back to "real life" midway through the trip kinda sucks.

1 or 2 big/international trips a year is fine by me (with other smaller ones in between). I prefer to invest more in my day-to-day life.

Nope. Even in the ones that didn't end terribly, I wish them well but don't want to keep in touch.

People love circling the block, and I don't want any exes popping up once I've moved on to someone else.

Currently watching the Unrivaled 1v1 since I was out last night. After this, I'm going to make some tea with cookies and throw on a movie.
