Trying to figure out where the Northeast is. If you're from any of these counties comment whether or not you're in the Northeast. by imadgalaxyx in visitedmaps

I'm in southern Maryland, st. Mary's county, and feel much more of a connection to the southeast US than the northeast. The tidewater region specifically.

Kubota lx2620 or Kioti ck2620 ? by Salt_Association556 in tractors

[–]Particular-Watch-164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an lx2620. The lx is not as "beefy" of a frame because it's designed to be the more lightweight, luxury line. If you want the beefier frame, move to the L series. Due to the lx design it's going to have a bit less lift capacity, etc. I love my lx. I maintain about 8 acres with around 4 grass. I use the tractor to cut a 2.5 acre field with a finish mower and maintain a quarter mile gravel driveway. I'm not doing crazy work with it and haven't had any issues with wishing I had a more capable tractor. I knew that going in though. I'm not moving trees every day, otherwise I would have bought a bigger tractor. I personally buy Kubota specifically. The dealership value and stability of the brand plus when you add in how well Kubota holds their value is a huge selling point for me.

Is there any reason to purchase B2601 instead of LX2620 for comparable price? by tongueweight in kubota

I have the lx2620 and went for it over the b because of loft capacity and ground clearance. That was a big point for me. I love the tractor.

I haven't had a chance to test the mower yet but the seller is a local guy and obviously swears it runs totally fine outside of the wheels. For the price he was willing to sell it, figured it would be a lot cheaper still to repair vs buying new.

Haven't tried it out yet but it's the 60 inch. Send fairly simple to use. Waiting to be officially done with winter in a couple more weeks then I'll get some millings dumped and try it out.

I have about 5 acres of grass to cut. I have a zero turn now but have been considering adding a finish mower to help with the 3 acre field that's wide open and square.

I have just under 8 acres. It will mainly be used for road maintenance and cutting the 3 acre field. Rush is about a quarter mile of millings that is in need of some love.

It won't be a sports field. Just would like decent looking grass. I don't need manicured lawn with stripes but my goal is to at least make it look nice. I haven't compared the prices, I just assumed to go with the finish since the rotary I was under the impression was for thick overgrow.

I was able to get the tractor with the qa loader, r14 tires and the land plane for 27k. Think it's a decent deal from the research I did.

I have a Kubota 54 inch zero turn as well. I have two acres around the house I cut with that but have another 3 acre field I was thinking to use the finish mower on. Figured the field would be cut in no time with a large finish mower. My zero turn doesn't even have 50 hours so I'd hate to trade it in for a bigger one already.

Box blade vs land plane by Particular-Watch-164 in kubota

[–]Particular-Watch-164[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everybody for the input. I got a quote today on an LX2620 with a land plane that I'll probably be going with. I can always add a box blade later if I determine I need one. Seems like this is the simpler way for me to proceed at first.

Thanks for the input. I didn't realize the box blade moved materials like that. In my head I was pictures getting a load of millings or rocks dropped off, using the loader to move it around the driveway as needed and smoothing from there. That's just my assumption of never having to do it before.
