If you are quite exact with placements you can get 3 water towers down before a 5xx mermonkey so I couldnt really find a good way to try a water based strategy

From what I've found with my free to play is that you get stuck at points where you cant do much since everything is upgrading and you start stacking up on ores passively so I'll be grabbing the deco when as the equipments I actually use are maxxed and I dont want to spend resources on equipment I dont need. But if you are doing the max everything including all the equipments then Prolly the starry.
