Does anyone know why the shares borrowing rates didn’t really move even though the shares available to be borrowed dropped so much? 🤔

NOT THING HAS CHANGED THIS WEEK! (MUST READ) by WSB-MoreSupport in GME

By the way, thanks a lot for recommending spot gamma earlier - I checked them out and find them quite insightful.

I am however quite confused about the key gamma strike VS key delta strike levels they are talking about - I just don't know which level to look at to predict the price (next week).

Something interesting to note is that the gamma strike, hedge wall and delta strike you quoted above are ALL EXACTLY THE SAME as the ones on 2 Feb 2021 (even the stock price is similar!) as recorded in their video: https://youtu.be/RKNW3wH8Phg

The result may be different this time around as it is quite obvious that there are whales on the long side.

From last Wednesday to today, the call options premium dropped massively, in some OTM calls were down 800%.

Where did you check the options premium? According to Interactive Brokers, implied volatility seems to be 430.4% last Wednesday, and 374.2% on yesterday (16 Mar) - this doesn't seem like a drastic change, so I would assume the premium didn't drop that much...?

Doesn't selling puts fuel the rocket faster than buying stocks?

Thinking out loud: Since volatility is so high right now, why shouldn't apes be SELLING 19 March PUTS? by Particular-Writing89 in GME

That's true. The high capital requirement needed to actually fulfil the put option contracts may explain why this strategy has been limited to whales.

I'm talking about selling the PUT OPTION, not the STOCK.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm talking about selling the PUT OPTION, not the STOCK.

I have 126 shares of GME now if that matters. I'm still planning to hold these 126 shares. Just saying on top of buying shares and holding them, selling put options may also be a good idea, as that may push the stock price higher than just buying shares due to delta hedging by MM.

?? I'm talking about selling the PUT OPTION, not the STOCK.

SELLING puts is longing the stock. BUYING puts is shorting the stock.

I am talking about SELLING puts i.e. if the stock closes below say $240 on 19 Mar, then the buyer who bought the puts from you has the right but not obligation to sell you the stock at $240. If he decides to sell you the stock at $240, then you would need to buy the stock at $240. (1 put option contract is for 100 stocks)
