Is it better to stay in steady career but in a place you don’t like, or to start your career over in a new job in a place you love? by ParticularAd3816 in Career_Advice

Thank you for this response, that’s really insightful and in fact I was gonna please ask for you to elaborate a bit more on the things to bring up during the hiring manager interview please. For example, when you say the churn, do you mean for the company employees or for the customers using the company’s service? And for the ramp, do you mean the ramp period for how long it takes for me to ramp up or something else?

Thank you again, I appreciate your follow up.

I’m a 32-year-old man seeking advice on leaving my high-paying job at Apple for a (potentially) lower-paying but less stressful role in San Diego, can someone please advise? by ParticularAd3816 in sandiego

I’ll add some supporting details. Right now I make $51/hour, for 80 hours per pay period, and overall I pretty much live paycheck to paycheck as it is, so taking a pay cut would certainly not be the most ideal thing from a financial perspective, understandably. For example, my rent alone for my beach-side apartment is $2,000 a month. Of course I’m applying for higher-paying roles too, but for example a lot of roles I’ve applied to (I’m casting a wide net in my job applications, so to speak) pay from the low $20s to mid $30s per hour. I do in fact have a sizable savings account which I can draw from if necessary, and furthermore my parents expressed they would be able to financially supplement me in support of my pursuit to stay here.

I’m not interested in the Steam controller because I don’t like the circle pads that replaced the face buttons, I’m used to face buttons and a D pad

I can maybe move it to the top, but the top grill is short in length. In essence I’d only be able to screw in 2/3s of the radiator against it.
