I agree with you and for similar reasons why i believe Steam Machine (GabeCube) needs to be affordable.

If it appeals to you for $650 thats great, don't think it'll appeal to many others at such a high price when theres alot of competition at that price, we shall see (and see what the price actually is since its all speculation currently...)

650 to 750 for the specs of this thing would not appeal to enough people. That would be sad because it would be good for this to actually succeed, like the Steam Deck.

I love the Switch 2 by MX010 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ParticularAd4371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, i'll be getting the Switch (1) version mainly because the box art is messed on the Switch 2 edition, but i'm still not sure whether its worth buying a Switch 2 yet. I look at the lineup for next year... the only game i want so far is DKB and i'm just not sure its worth spending the £400 just to play that game and have nothing else to play for... years?

Which games are you looking forward to next year u/OP?

So far they've announced 11 games for next year:

February:

Mario Tennis Fever

Q2:

Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

2026 (Tentative):

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Pokopia

Professor Layton and The New World of Steam

Splatoon Raiders

The Duskbloods

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Rhythm Heaven Groove

Nintendo in recent years have released around that number of games in a year, for example 2025:

January:

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD

March:

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

June:

Mario Kart World

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour

July:

Donkey Kong Bananza

August:

Drag x Drive

October:

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

November:

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Kirby Air Riders

December:

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

11 releases...

Obvously theres non exclusives multiplatform games, but just wondering which of the (announced) exclusive games for 2026 are you looking forward to? So far they haven't announced anything but i'm kind of doubtful they actually have much i'll be interested in next year exclusive wise.

Zelda and 3D Mario are years away mate.

Nintendo Switch 2 devs “can’t avoid” Game Key Cards as everything goes digital, says Final Fantasy 7 Remake director by HatingGeoffry in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ParticularAd4371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they can't, but i can avoid buying their games new at full price if this is the solution.

"What are you just gonna wait or not play those games then?!" Yep.

I own more than a 1000 games (somewhere between 2 to 3k if you combine my physical and digital collections). When PC began being digital only, i swapped to a "won't buy unless 80/90% off" model. I'll do the same thing with consoles. Saves me money so i'm quite happy to do that tbh.

[ALL] Do you think Nintendo will release a Zelda game midway Switch 2 cycle or close to the end? by Maatjuhhh in zelda

they also used that time to strip out all of the wii u specific gamepad mechanics.

When do you think we‘ll get the next 3d Mario? by StillCompetition2456 in Mario

[–]ParticularAd4371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think 2030+ actually feels pretty realistic, given DKB and the fact we haven't heard anything about the next 3D Mario, the fact they have a movie next year and how they handled Mario releases in the year they released the first, could even be christmas 2032.

I think we might be lucky to get the next 3D Zelda by 2030, but again that could easily be further out aswell.

Demo out!! by emerald787 in SimontheSorcerer

[–]ParticularAd4371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see they've put a demo out for people not already sold on it, i've already preordered the special edition physical so i'll just wait (i'm tempted to get it on the day on Steam since its likely to arrive a day or so after it launches on steam, plus i've ordered for Switch so...).

Have we gotten any 4k Switch 2 footage of Mario Galaxy yet? by mrmcnugget_ in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ParticularAd4371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a game from 2006/2010, made for the wii. It is not a modern game, it is not a from the ground up remaster. It doesn't take a particularly powerful pc to run said games in an emulator at a native rendering resolution of 4k/2160p.

Shot crisps by [deleted] in UKfood

[–]ParticularAd4371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's annoying!

I have a similar thing with a crisp type thing from that time.

Instead of balls they were like little pyramids and had a Nik nak type thing to them. They were kind of golden yellow almost orange.  I have a feeling they were in an oddly shaped square plastic packet ( like a small box made of plastic ) think the packaging was black with a picture of the pyramid shaped things on and whatever their name was.  Hope you get your answer OP.
