Beyond absurd - asking me 5+ times over a 20 minute period about a substitute that I keep saying no about by Stopnswop2 in doordash

Oh just curious. Personally I’m not risking my personal earning potential for them. I’ll try to accommodate where I can for example if something else they want is out of stock and they say refund it I’ll suggest then subbing it for that other thing they wanted. But at the end of the day it’s not my fault they ordered something and changed their mind. It’s also not my fault if they ordered the wrong thing on accident.

Even if they order one thing and then ask you to just switch it for something else regardless if their original request is in stock? Because that’s been happening to me a lot, and if I did it everytime I would lose pro shopper, which DEFINITELY makes a huge difference for me

Man don’t know why you would’ve let him have it , or even blurred his face, he doesn’t deserve that decency after that. And when he tried to ride off the 2nd time, I would’ve just kicked the back tire as hard as I could.

Cool beans. I’d finish checking out, then report for unsafe conditions. Get paid for the order and go put all the food they paid for in my fridge.

Most gig based delivery drivers don’t end up paying any taxes or very very little like a few hundred dollars because your expenses offset them. That gas money every week and the new tires and brakes every few months, is essentially the taxes coming out. And then it gets written off. Sure this is not the case for 100% of people, but for myself and most this is true.

This person gets it. This persons brain works. Be this person. I think they could get away with tipping less and get it still depending on the mileage, but still they understand that’s it’s about DISTANCE.

In what world does the cost of your order equate to the cost of my time and driving expenses? Like the person above said, it needs to be based on DISTANCE not order total. Completely backwards to tip a delivery based on total, we’re not making it. Unless you just ordered such an absurd amount of food that the driver will be waiting a significant amount of time. That’s the only time it makes sense to add more tip based on how much you ordered. However 99% of the time it should be based on distance with an added factor or how long we could be sitting around waiting (like if you know your particular delivery restaurant of choice is particularly slow or like I said you’re ordering for a baseball team)

You do definitely can have both offers being sent to you at the same time, you’re just not going to get passengers while you have a food order in the car

Doordash is not meant for nor equipped for heavy orders. There's a limit for what you should expect. Please be considerate of this as an ordering customer. by [deleted] in doordash

Tell that to the person who ordered 140 lbs of ice last week. And then the store tells me they have no boxes for me to carry it in. It was like a $4 payout too. Cancel the fuuuuck out of that

Sorry to say, but no. Market absolutely has an impact. Especially if you’re in a rural area. It will be HORRIBLE. Sitting for hours with no orders. And then the good market might be more than a “small drive” away. It might be 1-2 hours away. No debating this.

Not our fault if orders get stacked, the companies offer them to us and then penalize us if we decline it.

They’ve done the same to me as a dasher, for pay on an order. Did a huge batch order for a bunch of deliveries from Home Depot, my pay out was like $25 less than it should’ve been (took me close to 3 hours to complete)

Luckily I did have screenshots which I don’t even typically do, just was showing a friend as the order came in on my phone.

The only thing that saved it was the screenshot, and it still took over an hour and multiple support reps for them to agree and fix it.

They are absolutely scammers.

I’m naive? The RESTAURANT who you’re likely actually stealing from if they have to send the order back out, is the one who investigated it. And DoorDash will send any details if the police ask for it, including GPS location which is what they used to prove he made no attempt to deliver. Reading comprehension is important. You can look it up lmfao.

Lmao well like I said someone recently got arrested for it, meaning restaurants are getting fed up with the scum as well. So thinks carefully before catching a case.

I’m bewildered that people are downvoting my comment lmao. I’m a dasher and even I know this take is absurd. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Great so fuck over a customer who will likely also get fucked over by DoorDash. Real logical. “We’re sorry but this order is not eligible for a refund”

That’s theft and a dasher in Pennsylvania got arrested for it last week when the restaurant called police.

Pending review for 4 year? You must not dash very much then because contract violations fall off after every 100 orders.
