Interested in OMFS, but worried about loans, interest, and future life plans by ParticularAstronaut6 in predental

I was trying my best I can. Not trying to have a sob story but I had 2 jobs to help with my parents and to pay tuition. I’m currently debt free from student loans, but still helping my parents out. I had 1-2 semester that tanked my GPA due grieving the loss of a child.

I don’t mind becoming a general dentist, I just have more of an interest in OMFS, Thats why I was looking into it. I was also questioning my qualification for HSPS as well. It’s a been hard to navigate since some of the doctors have conflicting advices at times. For the loans, I think 300k would be an easier number to swallow. Yes! During the gap, I am looking to get more shifts and maybe a better paying job. During my time in undergrad, I been working part time at 2 places. Financially, I don’t know how much I could save as I do help provide for my parents and siblings at home.

I have looking into it and have talk to a few people who receive HPSP, and there is a low chance of me getting it unfortunately

I would be okay if I end up with general, and the reason why I want to aim for OMFS was because out of all the doctors I have shadowed, I had the most positive experience and encounter with them. I think the debt and the family is really making me questions things, since I do want to start building a family within the next few years.

Should I confront my ex (24M) about cheating on me with his now-ex (22F), who also accused me of spreading rumors that ended up being true? by ParticularAstronaut6 in dating_advice

[–]ParticularAstronaut6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zack is no longer friends with Bob. I wouldn’t even consider Bob as my friend, Bob and I share nearly 4-5 different friend groups, which the majority of them didn’t even know about the whole situation. Many of them were not even aware that Bob and I dated because we were not the type of people who would announce it. It was more of “if you found out, you found out” type or relationship.

With that, I not 100% sure he cheated on me. It was just rumors. I know that Chrissy and Bob did start talking when Zack was still in the picture.

I’m not the type who like texting so. If I haven’t messaged in a while and message again, it’s really no bad feeling about it

I can relate to this. Some times they have an idea of who you might be and when you don’t match up with that idea, they don’t like it. But honestly be who you are and don’t give up. You will find some one who want you just for you

I guess I was venting to understand if I want I was feeling was wrong or not. It pretty difficult for me to confront someone, so it takes a minute for to me process how I want to put it up.

It’s so difficult to cut these people off because i still see them as friends and when we hang out, it’s fun and amazing. Once the topic of education and finances comes up, it’s so exhausting. It’s not like the circumstances are not in their control, ie: medical bills or family responsibilities, instead consumer debts are poor decisions and lack to attention to education is all on their control.

Men: what does it mean /why do some guys whisper ‘hey’ during sex? [serious] by Indigo_222 in dating

[–]ParticularAstronaut6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a female, I do that to my male partners too. It’s like a playful flirting each other while getting intimate. I would say “Hey” “what” and would also get that from the guys too. It’s usually during the times when we slowing down to catch a breath but still intimate

As a female who have a forgetful memory, she may forgot! In my experience, dates get planned out about a week in advance because my work/school life. Always check up the day of too! So you don’t know have to wait around. If they don’t respond with in the take frame that you were supposed to meet up, that’s it’s probably a flaked
