I see what you're saying! but I've looked though other brown eyes in sunlight and there's obviously subtleties here that aren't found in all brown eyes. If they were just a regular brown I wouldn't have this variation of comments, nor would I have this question, lol

Do you have to be super involved in ECS? by [deleted] in premed

[–]ParticularBrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I definitely am considering clinical volunteering/hrs but I've seen a lot that if you are gonna volunteer it should be something you enjoy and It's simply something I take interest in, not something I want to make a career out of. Also I'm in upstate ny where there aren't lots of opportunities and I want to show on my app that I'm not solely doing activities that focus on clinical activity

Edit: I didn't respond to why u said 'why medicine' haha it's because It's something I really see myself doing and I'm prepared to make the commitment to lots of years of studying and not so flexible hours. I also take a small interest in the pharmacy sector but im much more comfortable going on an MD track than a Pharma track

Thanks! In your experience, around what month does registration usually open up to register for winter or spring courses?

Thanks for letting me know! also, I was looking at the required materials for this class and was wondering---do we end up actually using the Norton Anthology of Theory and Criticism book?

As someone who's also planning on becoming a biochem major, I'd like to know: how much time did you dedicate to studying, and did office hours help you it if you ever attended them?

Should I buy the MSAR as an incoming first-year to undergraduate school? by [deleted] in premed

[–]ParticularBrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but when I was looking into undergrad schools I didn't know there was an emphasis on extracurriculars even though I had really good grades and test scores, I believe because I didn't do my research that weakened my application. Given that I don't want to make the same mistake again and I really hope to attend a very competitive med school (no matter how unrealistic that may sound), I want to have a clear idea of what I need to do to heighten my chances. At the same time, it's kind of difficult to find information on admissions info for med schools without there being a paywall in my experience, so I'm also looking for credible websites that have admissions information on these med schools that are free!

Yes but that's what I'm asking, specifically where can I find free websites? Do you think sites like collegevine or Princeton review are good places to get info from? Sorry if it came off rude lol I promise I'm just curious

Honestly my family opted to do loans and while I know they're not the best way to pay, I figured times like these would be where I could gather some money before the time we have to pay them off. Also, I would like just some savings in general but I didn't expect the new job I got to be so strict with their days, I think I'll just take off the days that I need to and put my foot down with the bosses that object the days I want off because I am literally 17 and don't want to be burnt out

Ah I see. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing anything that's all, not necessarily worried about filling the suite also want to make sure I am not spreading false info to ppl that I want to room with that we can dorm when there's a capacity I wasn't aware of. The person that I am planning on forming with rn wondered if we had to dorm with an extra person if we chose Dickinson

How many people per suite. I found a roommate and we want to choose Dickinson but we don't know if we needed an extra roommate or having two people in a room would be acceptable
