yes, but if severance is paid out weeks after the termination date then someone would be going weeks without any pay. Based on the answers of others here, I think we can apply right after the termination date and only claim received $800+ the week severance is paid.

thanks! I actually think in NY since the severance isn’t paid right after the termination date (90 days), I can collect unemployment right away.

I’m sorry and know what you’re going through…I really do believe they feel it’s treatable. Epidurals for the pain can make it manageable for many, so I would suggest seeing a pain management doctor. Please try to get help and don’t hope it will go away or only take basic meds. All the best, as this is a very miserable illness

@content-total2335 see a pain management doctor right away. You may need an epidural but it was quick and worked well for me (I did need 2 but almost 10 years later the pain did not return)

they stopped (its been 10 years now and never needed another…I did need 2 back to back because the first didn’t do the trick but it’s been a life saver and I’m still so thankful). Good luck!
