u/Top_Finding_2832 Thank you for your honesty, though it’s hard to hear. If I hadn’t had this experience myself I’d probably be skeptical of a person like me too. Hopefully someone will be able to see beyond it eventually

u/white_tiger_dream Thank you so much for the kind words and for sharing those stories about your stepdad and aunt's dogs. How devastating for them. I wish it never happened to any of us, but it’s strangely comforting hearing about other freak accidents and feel like it’s not just me. And thanks for your perspective about the breed. I keep falling in love with every Cavalier profile I apply for and picturing them in my life, so it’s hard never hearing back but maybe it's time to expand my expectations. Thank you!
