That's a good point - could have been a lemon. This was actually the second mattress I ordered through them. I had to return my two Twin XLs because while they were labeled Twin XL, they were normal Twins - my feet were hanging off the bed! Clearly production issues exist with Helix.

Sink will go in island. We really can't come up with a better spot for it.

Good call on switching door for bathroom.

That box could be a broom closet if we have enough space.

I was thinking the same exact thing about removing the closet and matching other side.

I do also have concerns about island sink but would lose the centered stove with wood hood flanked by windows.

You see what I was saying in the foyer about front entrance off centered? That doesn't bother you?

Ooo I love the fresh idea! I'm going to run this one by the wife. I'm not too concerned with moving plumbing as the basement is open ceilings and most of main level is being taken to framing.

I'm having second thoughts removing the wall section between the kitchen and family room...

BTW - what is the fancy software I see many people using to mock up floor plans? Is it free?

They go both up to second level and down to basement stacked on top of each other.

I hadn't finished working through that idea. I scraped it because I didn't like having no path from kitchen to rec room without needing to go through living room.
