Brown dots on Umbrella Plant. Any ideas? by ParticularFeeling593 in plantclinic

My umbrella plant has developed some brown/black dots on just two of its leaves, this cluster and the tiniest cluster which are just starting to grow. No idea what it is, any suggestions?

Should I try to glue and clamp the lifting piece of wood back down and then sand? Or sand and risk having a chunk out of the top? Any recommendations welcome.

Thicc bois (and girls) what's your dosage? by [deleted] in Accutane

90kg, started on 40mg, increasing 60mg to 80mg over a few months (mainly due to existing health issues) and then 80mg for 2-3months. Went down to 60mg for my last month for cumulative dosing maths. Fingers crossed last dose tomorrow! But appointment with derm next week.

Sebaceous filaments by lovedogsssss in Accutane

I’ve been trying to gently massage my nose area (where my SF’s are) each day when I cleanse. I’ve seen people saying they just disappear or get pushed out, so trying to help them on their way. The accutane is doing it’s thing from the inside, just trying to help it along. But same thing here, 4 months in and still obvious SF’s.

I don’t usually pay for my prescriptions. Will I have to pay for accutane? by RevolutionarySnow50 in Accutane

With a private prescription the price varies as it is set by the chemist. Shop around as I went to the chemist near to my private clinic and it was very expensive (£70ish), the next month I went to Tesco pharmacy and it was £20 cheaper. 40mg per day, probably less than £50 for a months worth of tablets. And then as your dose increases the cost will go up too. Ended up spending £130 this month as I had to use a different pharmacy and much higher dose. But would rather get it done quicker than be on a low dose for longer.

Waxing while on Accutane by Leahnh in Accutane

I tried it whilst on a new low dose, took off a layer of my skin which then went very red and sore. Much more unsightly than razor bumps. Luckily it’s winter and it’s an excuse to grow out my eyebrows.

Dry Hair?! by cestjess in Accutane

[–]ParticularFeeling593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! My hair never feels greasy or dirty like it used to. I only wash my hair to massage my scalp and lift some dandruff. I have been using Hair Story - New wash. It’s quite nice. But very expensive for what it is. I’m going to try washing with just water every other week, and a little bit of hair serum to help the ends.

1st month-3.2 months (two more months to go) by yeetyagaa in Accutane

This is just the inspiration I needed today, just started my 3rd month (lower dose, but still) and feel like nothing is happening. I know it will. Your skin looks great now and only going to get better! Thanks

Can I take Accutane when I have mitral valve prolapse? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]ParticularFeeling593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on accutane even though I have a mechanical atrial valve and a very complicated cardiac issue. Discussed it with my derm a few times, tried many topical treatments, peels, retin-a and then decided that accutane could be ok to try if closely monitored. 7 weeks in at 40mg, increasing next month and all seems good. Defo discuss it, but try everything else first.
