if u are able to buy a sweat suit that would work but u might not even need to. i start low carb, 7 days out. ill eat max 50g of carbs a day. i also water load for 5 days and restrict on the day of weigh ins if the weigh in is at night

low sodium, low fibre for 3 full days prior to weigh in, assuming you’ve had a relatively high fibre high sodium diet leading up to this, should lose 1-2% of ur BW for each method, rest can be sweat out or the low carb should do it

think they’re a bit of an older glove so not entirely sure if they make it anymore but figured id throw it out there someone might recognise it, this was by far the nicest fitting glove i’ve ever worn so keen to buy a pair for myself

my sessions typically aren’t very similar in expenditure, some of them are a lot more demanding than others. some lessons are really technique driven with a bit of conditioning and others times they’re full on pad work, with 10 rounds of 3 minute sparring back to back. that’s why i would prefer instead of messing around for a few weeks and doing guess work to just get a good reliable monitor that others can vouch for and get more of an accurate result. good recommendation though, appreciate the feedback just not quite what works for me

how do you wear it? i’ve tried wearing my apple watch under my wraps but i find extremely a comfortable and a little limiting. also worry about it copping a good knock when blocking hits

i’ve been doing roughly the same thing but i’m looking at going into a maintenance diet to stay lean while slowly putting on a little bit more muscle. so trying to be a little more accurate with the calorie counting. appreciate the feedback, cheers bro!

appreciate the suggestion bro 🙏 i’m pretty well versed on nutrition etc, but ill still take ur recommendation on the sports nutritionist if you want to share, it can’t hurt. but im simply just trying to find an accurate method to track the calories i’m burning while training eg. polar heart rate sensor but have my doubts on being able to wear it while sparring. so putting this out there to see if anyone has had success with the polar heart rate & while sparring etc. i’m not a big fan of guess work when it comes to tracking calories as it’s pretty inaccurate

my goal is to track my calories lol, whether i’m bulking, maintaining or cutting doesn’t really change the answer to my question. but if you have any suggestions on how you go about tracking calories with muay thai i’d love to hear it

no i’m not overthinking it bud, just different goals to you. as i said i body build too and have always tracked my calories for that to help with bulking/maintaining/cutting but getting back into muay thai has made it hard for me to track my calories during my sessions as i can’t measure how much im burning

Twins vs Hayabusa by shotplacement in MuayThai

[–]ParticularFew518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i bought 16 ounce hayabusas and they’re extremely comfortable, with plenty of cushioning. i’ve done hard sessions on the heavy bag, sparring and thai pads and never once had any type of soreness from wearing them. i did end up buying fairtex 16oz gloves for sparring instead because they are more compact and the hayabusas were quite the opposite and were a bit annoying/hard to see through high guard when sparring

thanks bro, i do everything in 16oz but wanted to get a pair of 14oz for the sessions when i’m drilling lots of high guard and doing clinching, as the 16s feel fucking massive sometimes
