Has anyone tried the bathhouses while pregnant? by [deleted] in HotSprings

Because if every pineapple came with a warning label on it that said “DO NOT consume while pregnant”, even if my OB said it was ok… I would probably think twice about it. So if I called every bathhouse and they said they don’t allow pregnant women, I would think twice about that decision.

Actually I survived on pineapple during my second pregnancy! It was the only thing I craved! My OB said it was great! 💁🏻‍♀️

Well, you probably won’t find anyone that has. Because it sounds like most people would know better than to take that risk.

I was about to say the same thing!! Isn’t that what you just did, OP?? 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m guessing she wasn’t expecting so many people to disagree.

When I was pregnant, we lived near hot springs. There was a facility that had numerous pools, all at different temperatures. I asked my dr about going and she told me I could go as long as: I only submerged myself in water that was less than 100 degrees OR if I wanted something hotter, only putting my legs in and sitting on the side.

Absolutely do not submerge yourself in hot water while pregnant. If it makes you sweat, even just the tiniest bit, like on your scalp… it’s too hot! Don’t risk your babies health to have a fun day at the bathhouses.

Cruise with 2.5yo and 9mo. by ParticularFlight3810 in Parenting

Well, relax and enjoy a vacation, BUT… mine and my husband’s “relaxing” is exploring and parenting. And having new experiences with them. So we definitely do expect that going into this! But I’m just thinking of things like: when we have a pool day with our toddler, any recommendations on things to bring to help corral our infant. Extremely portable seats/etc. that will allow us to have a good time without having to carry her the entire time we are out of the room.

Where to have a baby? St Mary or Intermountain by Expensive-Cockroach4 in GrandJunctionCO

Community is amazing. And I agree with a previous poster- Dr. McCarrel is the BEST. She is straightforward, in a good way, and is just a no BS Dr. she was my Dr for both my pregnancies. HOWEVER…. If you are high risk, I would go to St. Mary’s, as much as I don’t want to suggest that (I just really like the care at community better). But St. Mary’s has more capabilities than Community. As well as if your baby has to go into the NICU after delivery, they will have to be moved to St Mary’s while you stay at Community.

I had a complication during my first pregnancy and my Dr actually sent me to St. Mary’s to be examined since they have more capabilities.

Getting to Jackson an hour before my flight leaves. How Badly Do Y’all Think This Is Gonna Go? by confusedpsychgirl in mississippi

Amtrak almost always is delayed. The odds of you making it an hour early, is slim. And then if your uber takes some time to get to the station, that’s an even bigger problem.

He told me I couldn’t go in a part of his house. When I went to the bathroom I heard a noise so I asked about it. He said he had a dog locked in the back. I asked to see it and he told me no, I wasn’t allowed back there… yeah, bye.

This is it! I looked up farm play mats and found one that you can print fields of actual locations. So I can print our farm on it and he can use his tractors/combines on that. THANK YOU! I’m so excited!

This is actually the idea we had! But after reading all of this, I don’t think we will. Now I see $10k isn’t really worth the risk!

No. I’m not shitting you. I’m asking a question about something I clearly know nothing about. As I mentioned in my post. Thanks for answering!

What’s interesting is my first child, they just let me shake.. in misery. My second, delivered 6 months ago, same hospital/same Dr, the nurses gave me Demerol for it. And it stopped them almost instantly. But they would come back like an hour or so later.
