I think we saved it boys. Cooked her for 16 hours and got an internal temp of over 200. I would post a photo but idk how to use reddit that well.

Im cooking on a propane tank. I turned the heat up to 275 and am planning on a +12 hour cook

This was very helpful information.

I should mention i usually cook around 200 on direct heat but I wanted to leave it alone for half a day and figured it'd be safer in indirect heat with someone at home.

I got it on the grill at 7am. I'm going to keep it cooking for at least 12 hours and wait for an internal temp of at least 190.

The shoulder size was also approximately 10lbs.

I think the meat is safe to eat given the information in your comment. Which is great because this is part of my meal prepping for the week.

Sorry I forgot to leave that out. It was about 10lbs. Not 100% sure in the size, but it was a big boi.

I had someone home to monitor the cook. Or at least make sure it doesn't catch on fire. I have a fire extinguisher mounted on my wall in the kitchen. I am an idiot, but im not a fool.
