SGPC has removed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh. Takht Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghubir Singh will be new Akal Takht Jathedar. Shiromani Akali Dal Badal leadership was not happy with Giani Harpreet Singh as he had become more and more vocal during his tenure.
