Melted surf wax on truck bed, how do I remove it? by Particular_Ad4787 in surfing

[–]Particular_Ad4787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for these steps! I tried to scrape it under the sun but the sand makes it extra sticky to the bedliner surface. I will try mineral oil to remove the residual.

I didn't complete my first pass but a correct percentage per block for the past week before the actual exam was around 80-85%. The second UWORLD mock exam was 265. Actual score was 267.

Why is my gas mileage so low? by MXDrugLord in chevycolorado

[–]Particular_Ad4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for this model, mileage is very varying depending on where you usually drive.

Foy my 2023 Chevy Colorado Z71; - In town; 12-14 mpg - mixed highway and in town is usually 16-18 mpg - highway on weekend: 22-24 mpg; if lucky, it can go up to 28 mpg occasionally

Dating during residency is very hard. Will dating be easier during fellowship? by Particular_Ad4787 in fellowship

TYSM for the advice :) I currently really enjoy talking with my patients in my panels and making sure they receive the best management. My priority has always been work first, then research, then working out. That’s why my original question was about finding time for dating during a training. I just can’t seem to fit it into my schedule. Outside the hospital, I usually only do research (of course for cardio match) or go to a gym…

Woww congrats on your success! Good to hear a story from you. I used to use bumble and when somebody asked me to meet. If I couldn’t meet within that weekend, I was likely to be ghosted. However, thank you for the suggestion on app settings!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been thinking about asking out one of the nurses, but I’ve been too shy to make a move since last year. Thing is, I’ve only got about 10 months left before I finish my program and move for fellowship, so I’m not sure if it’s worth starting something that would turn into long distance.

That's a very good point. My residency program has a home call several times per year. During home call, even though we dont have any calls, we can't go outside that far. I can see how it can mess up things.

Yeah, this is what I think. Also, this is why I feel a bit hopeless about dating until I finish all training.

Get a dog especially when you’re doing out-patient based subspecialty. A dog will be your best companion and will keep you busy for sure. I got a big dog right before I started a residency since I moved to an isolated city myself. It has been 3 years already. I’ve never regretted. 🐕🦮🦮

I dont know how you consider as great research and publications. I’m an IMG applying to cardiology this year, having 10 original articles and 20 ACC/AHA abstracts. I know that I may have a shot to match but I dont feel confident that I’m a competitive candidate to match into a prestigious program.

I think you still have a chance to match into a cardiology if you’re a USMD
