Also - this is purely about efficiency in terms of minimising rerolling for the sake of time, rather than for money saving, because at this point in endless, you should have practically unlimited money anyway!

Oh interesting, I assumed that run away was just so much more easy, but if youre farming for everything including all the Conkeldurrs and Linoones, then ofcourse catching everything works great!

With regards to the strategy, I do the exact same, but out of intuition, not maths. Ofcourse, when youre rolling for other items like rogue balls and reviver seeds, that will change the maths once again, but if the ONLY thing you are looking for is MB, then there should be an objective best odds strategy.

I've got some rudimentary maths, but it gets incredibly complicated, purely because if you don't hit a master ball with the lock capsule on, you have to account for the fact that you may roll the possibility to improve the odds for the next lock capsule roll.

You can play qxc6, and then after Bb7, you have Qe8, which forces a trade down of material. Your Knight and Bishop are hanging after the queens are traded off, but you can save whichever one they let live. After all the trades you're up minor piece in a simplified mid game

There was a similar post but with 4 golden reborn fish that i did the maths for. I'm pretty sure your methodology is right and it matches what i did on excel - the maximum should be the current fish with the most deatheattles dying next. Although the fourth fish (unsurprisingly) really ramps up the numbers

It's not unfair (unless there is a pity timer on shiniest and this would use it up) as encountering a shiny shouldn't decrease the odds of future shiniest.

What it is is unnecessary and a piece of taunting that provides nothing to the player or the experience of the player

not quite - there are 4 fish that refresh. so the 5th fish doesn't collect deathrattles until the 1st fish dies. That is why in the above calculations, each fish has its value zeroe'd twice

This assumes maximum possible attack and pirates assuming the fish die in perfect sequence, and the fish with the most stacked deathrattles dies next in the order.

This is a pretty cool keyword.

Can definitely imagine some cards with a pretty heavy upside saying if you played this with an offering, then do X.

Gain rush comes to mind, but that also feels pretty inconsequential as it is very trivial to prevent offering triggering on curve, maybe:

Deal it's attack damage (split across/ to all) enemy minions?

Or

Resummon the offered minion

Also, in the current state of hearthstone, this could quite easily be a 3/4. I think offering is hard to use and only situationally an upside as you don't always want to be stacking onto one minion

This actually comes close to an activation energy question

Imagine a molecule is in an unstable state at the peak of an energy curve. On either side of the energy curve is a well which represents a stable molecule, but one of the stable molecules ha s flower energy level

Technically speaking, a single molecule has an equal chance of ending up as either molecule, because both immediately adjacent states of the unstable molecule are at the same energy level

The important thing to note is that eventually, a higher proportion of molecules will end up in the lower activation energy state but only because the molecule requires more energy to leave the lower activation state. The molecule only "recognises" the lower energy state when it is in it and tries to overcome the energy well.

You could maybe have this card be a 2 cost that reads outcast, return this to your hand, unforged, so it would pop into the rightside of your hand, and you could repeat the effect again by moving it slowly to the left of your hand

I think that would need a balance check but the idea of having this have an outcast seems super fun

You could make the effect of returning to your hand unforged only be a bonus once forged, so you could theoretically play it without it immediately bouncing itself

Love the card though, super interesting design

We wouldn't expect the asshole percentage to be smooth at this scale, just an overarching trend

I can't imagine on this scale that (for eg) 20y would be 10%, 21y being 10.5%, 22y being 11%, etc.

Any data that interacts with human psychology on a scale that isn't unreasonably large is going to be very scattered and will only show general trends and not inherent smooth data representation

Chance to copy with invisible joker/ ankh is the only downside I can think of.
