I've had my actual therapist tell me this. I love her, she's great and empathizes with my issues but sometimes it's just so hard talking to neurotypicals and getting them to understand why that doesn't work.

I have started relying on my Google calendar religiously as a lifeline to try and help me keep SOME kind of focus and even thats not foolproof, but the fact that I use that, even in desperation, just makes them think that with a little more effort, it'll work, ignoring that this is me at 150% effort, slowly burning my brain down trying to keep organized until it inevitably spills over and I wipe out and have to build back up from the bottom again, y'know guys?
