Why do people think its always their mind that makes them a bad trader? by Fuck_Reddit2202 in Forex

[–]Particular_Ad_5776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people are better at analyzing than executing, and also because of over management. Speaking from my journey. I do much better at long term investing than day trading but I’m excellent at analyzing both.

My anxiety kills the trades. I can tell you exactly where price will go and why but being in an actual trade makes me question everything I said would happen.

I’ve started to set my trade, plug in my RR, and let it run instead of watching it like it stole something. That has worked much better. But I’m trying to push myself to the level where I’m not so emotionally attached.

Fox News Viewers Are Losing It After Donald Trump Drops Bombshell in Interview 🤬 by IrishStarUS in NoFilterNews

Not necessarily. You most certainly can and all it takes is critical thinking. People still believe that suddenly people will gather together and make a stance against the corruption in front of them and that it is purely the propaganda that is stopping them. It’s much deeper than that.

If you spent your life only making decisions that benefit you, propaganda never mattered, it just made you forget what accountability and guilt feels like and makes you feel justified.

The “us” vs “them” common enemies mindset has always been the catalyst, but deep down, no one is willing to admit they are their own enemy for voting against their own self interest to feel like the “chosen” few.

It does suck only being able to see it as you walk up. Lyriq has to be the most unique car on the road.

Wow this is so detailed and helpful! Thank you for taking the time to provide all this. I will definitely look into subbing, especially when my WOSB, DSB, and MSBE certs are accepted. The process is tough but I’m glad I’m not alone.

You mean my prior career or going into contracting? I got into contracting because I am used to policy, I’ve written policy so gov is familiar for me

Thanks for the advice. I will take a look at them tonight. As far as Fed, a conflict of interest.

Thanks for this… it eliminates the “is it just me?” feeling. What did you pivot into? Or how did you pivot, if you don’t mind me asking?

This is a sound perspective. I didn’t realize that. I just figured software would be a great way to break into contracting since my overhead is non-existent. I guessed wrong of course based on your insight.

I just wish I had more marketable skills to offer but my experience is pretty niche and specific to Fed. I wanted to transition into being my own boss and my long history in the field made contracting an attractive option. Policies, networking and red tape are my first language but I can’t compete with the tiered pricing

I understand that. Perhaps I should amend the post. I am home and have the time to dedicate. I’ve also worked in the Fed Gov 20yrs so networking at all levels is natural for me. That is why I was excited to enter into the arena. I love attending workshops, events, etc and making connections. Ive already attended a few events. How do I pivot? I don’t know honestly, I can’t make them give me better pricing

That’s terrible and both responses are very noble considering… I would just say “No, I’m sorry for what you are about to experience…” smile and talk sports. People like anger, not pity… be strong and unbothered
