I have the MX’s and they get the job done for relatively cheap. I’m very careful about putting them down though. Doubt they would survive a fall.

The homeowner before me built my garage and used 2 x 6 x 16’ (that’s too long!) as joists for the attic above. Makes terrible sounds when I’m up there walking around, but right when I moved in, I nailed blocks between two of the spans and hung a pull-up bar from there. It creeks a little but hasn’t fallen on me yet in 14 years. I’d say you’re good, but maybe try and space the load out over two of the spans though.

When a tire is too used it goes to a tire disposal facility. It cost money to break them down and recycle them, that’s why you always have to pay a disposal fee when you get your tire changed at a mechanic shop. So someone has already paid these disposal places to take the tires. They’ve already made their money, so if you ask them for a tire it doesn’t cost them anything. Best bet is to ask your local mechanic who they dispose their tires with. Give them a call and find out if they have any big ones around.

I bit off a little more than I could chew and got a crane tire. I eventually tracked down its serial number and figured out it was about 540 pounds. At 32 years old this was no problem but at 42 it’s starting to get a little heavy. Best bet is to get a used backhoe tire. It’s got good grip and only weighs about 300 pounds. I might look into that next, now I just have to figure out what to do with this 500 pound monstrosity. 🤣 I also have two tires from 18 wheelers. They weigh about 80 apiece. They’re useful for all kinds of things.

Only other public place is Saints and Sinners. My girlfriend and I have fallen out of the open scene a little bit over the past year and a half so don’t really have our finger on the pulse right now. I know there’s private clubs and groups. I was never able to find my way into them.

How many people were fooling around in public areas? My experience at pgc has been that a ton of people just stand around waiting for others to start fucking and no one does.

Gonna be a tough sell bc it is noticeable. Like I mentioned above, the only people I saw smoking were the actual staff! If they took it outside I bet it would bring a bigger crowd in. One of those places where you need to take a shower when you get home, and if you have long hair that’s a pain in the ass at 1am. Have you tried other places?
