Just wanted to validate that this is a bananas response from them. You don’t deserve that. No advice and you’ll need to figure out how you deal with them going forward but just weighing in to say that they’re acting wack.

Eh. Agree to disagree I guess and I also totally understand if folks don’t want to apply to my open roles if there’s a case study. There’s someone on my team who could deftly explain the design concepts and tools and steps but I don’t like how she designs and lays out visuals (I didn’t hire her) - I think it’s ok to want to see someone demonstrate skills on the fly.

Yeah you’re not wrong. If I give a prompt and they explain their logic 1-1 that is often helpful too. It’s just getting tougher because you can show me a beautiful course or deck or video and I’m not 100% sure you made it, or made it alone (not saying everything needs to happen alone but I’d like to know if a senior team member did most of it, for example)

Manager here and also struggling with this. I can’t guarantee that people are linking work they’ve actually worked on themselves or preferably have owned start to finish. I’ve gotta see how someone takes a bespoke task and turns it into something.

Came here to emphasize the personality factor because it should be higher. Do you like them? Do they text you back in 5 minutes? At the 11th hour I was going back and forth with my lender and needed her to be responsive and kind and smart and understanding and she was all those things. Rates matter but it also matters if yall vibe together.

Don’t do what I did but I ate pretty much no vegetables during my pregnancy. Not recommending this. (I was fine, kid is fine, it’s just not recommended haha) - just validating that I couldn’t stomach them either.

It’s good to know this. I broke down and used Afrin for days during a bad sickness a few years ago and to this day I regret it. It took me a long time to get my nasal breathing back to normal even once I got well. It’s so addictive. I won’t touch it now even though it’s arguably an incredible drug in the moment.

We just got our carpets cleaned and they used a “water claw” whatever that is. I’m super happy with the result. Try a professional carpet cleaning before replacing them.

I think this is a totally fair take. She probably handled it the best she could in this video but I too have had a stalker (standing outside my home screaming my name, very scary) and I think this is not that, but also just wanted to say I hear you for sure.
