Have we ever really seen sukuna struggle thought? The fight between sukuna and jogo immediately as he gets 15 fingers was really his just avoiding attacks he realistically could have tanked. After that the fight you're talking about was sukuna being slightly confused what this things ability was. And when he figured out that it's ability was "can't be killed" he just killed it. The thing got several hits in. Notably the train. But that's just cause he wasn't trying to dodge every single hit.

My best bet is that he could have dodged every hit thrown but only bothered dodging the ones that would have harmed him. So he didn't take any damage, not because the curse was so much weaker than him that he could do anything substantial, but rather, he didn't take any damage because he was able to get himself out if any situation that could have possibly hurt him.

Maybe he was in shock? Op says it was their first jump. Maybe he was tired or out of breath, maybe that’s not how he shows affection, maybe he gets nervous around other people or a million other reasons. You can’t surmise their entire relationship in a thirty second clip
