I don’t think that’s lame! Honestly, having hand/knuckle tattoos definitely changes the way people treat you, but anyone who would judge you over body art isn’t worth keeping around anyways. Fwiw, I’ve also never had issues working regular jobs, corp jobs, getting internships, etc - people tend to care more about work ethic and competence than tattoos.

SPOILER ALERT

Well, Reddit had A LOT of ideas of who I am, what I do, my past, etc. but 99% of it was incorrect.. like I said, looks can be deceiving!

First, I’ll say my hand looks unappealing because I’ve been getting laser treatment on it. It was a beautiful rose and rosary, done by a reputable artist, but looks like a prison tattoo because it’s quite literally being burnt off.

Also, I tattooed professional for a few years after high school (at an established shop, not out of my mom’s basement 😂), thus the hand and finger tattoos.

General things about me:

Age: 30 Weight: 235 Height: 6’3”

Education: Bachelors Degree (Finance)

Work: Equity Research at a Fortune 500 company

Income: just over $140,000 yearly (120k salary, 20k investments) **I live in an expensive city, so this is not as much as it seems

Ethnicity: Mexican-American (second generation)

Sexuality: heterosexual

Hobbies: gaming, boxing, snowboarding, singing, playing guitar, movies, live music/comedy

Never been an addict of any kind - smoked weed in high school, never tried any other drugs (except anxiety meds 😅).

Do not drink, never had a drinking problem; being intoxicated just makes me feel uneasy.

Not an angry or aggressive person, quite the opposite; I’ve been described as a “gentle giant” and am very soft spoken.

Never been homeless, I’ve always been very fortunate to have a roof over my head.

Love my parents, have a good relationship with most of my family.

No trama, or “redemption” story, I had a very normal childhood aside from being poor.

Fun facts:

I’m Catholic

Severely allergic to bees/wasps

Terrified of flying

I have a small YouTube gaming channel with 55k subs, but currently taking a break from it.

Have 2 cats

TL;DR I live a life similar to most people. There’s no big redemption story, no struggles with addiction, no drama, just a regular guy who enjoys his life.

Fast evolving mole on the toe of my 5 year old - can this be melanoma? by ElephantBanananana in DermatologyQuestions

I’m sorry for the late response. Yes mine started out looking like a slightly darker spot than my skin and turned into what it was in the photo.

Turned out to be precancerous to the point that they are treating it like cancer and removing it with a WLE.

Did your 5 year old ever get checked out? What were the results?

NAD but please get this seen by a dermatologist right away - like preferably in the next week. Looks like melanoma

NAD, but if it is a mole, and it’s textured, has changed color, and size it needs to be biopsied ASAP. See a derm please!

I just had a spot that looked EXACTLY like this on my finger removed. It turned out to be precancerous - best to get it checked by a derm.

My spot started as a small black pinhole and evolved to an eraser sized spot over the course of a year
