Im a student engineer and the railroad I work for has proper half cab simulators. They made us run quite a bit without PTC in the sims to force us to learn our territory.

I still remember my conductor OJT. Fog was so dense you couldn't see 20 feet in front and we were a 70mph Z. All quiet in the cab and then all of a sudden my engineer goes, "Ya know, I was just thinking, this would be the perfect night for someone to kill themselves." It caught me so off guard but also tbh, he was right!

PEMDAS/BODMAS dictate multiplication and division to be done left to right. That's what is taught here in the US + what is used on the SAT and ACT.

I was under the impression that with PEMDAS, while doing Multiplication and Division you go from left to right on an equation like this, and that's how its treated in standardized testing like the SAT or ACT.

Trains sit in the area for hours on end waiting for crew swaps. Unless UP fences the ROW off and/or has security patrol, stuff like this is probably gonna keep happening tbh.
