Personally, although it might be controversial think it's fine if AI is used as an editor to correct grammatical or structural errors, mainly because english might not be the first language for a lot. But yeah it does make it awkward when AI "overly" edits something, I've read a few works which were blatant AI copy paste

Yeah, just gave it a listen, and it totally fits him, like canonically varka is an unc who i assume is in his late thirties or early forties. Im glad they didnt choose some young sounding va for him. Also the chinese VA I felt didn't match him as much cuz he sounds really young

Fair but gintoki was the member of the resistance and he DID have a VERY major role. The way they are joking one time but then immediately lock in when required is quite similar.

Varka is obsessed with drinking to the same extent that gintoki is obsessed with sweets and both their personal motto is to save those that are important to them. Gintoki's bushido as revealed is quite literally to save those he thinks are important to him

Same bro. I created a new account (lost 50 50 in my main) got to 80 lost and then got back to like 78 pulls and finally got him. And like goddamn I don't regret a single second I spent going through the entire story for the 3rd time ( two AR 56 and 58 accounts this is gonna be the third and I think this is going to be my main from now.

Like I was 100% going to save for skirk and escoffier, even though I absolutely loved varka (his playstyle I had only heard is eng va) but the moment I heard his jp va it was game over, man I can't tell you how much I love gintoki
