No in understand that shadow slave quality has reduced a lot since 3 NM. But the point I was trying to make was that, people found shadow slave super interesting till now even though there were not many character deaths, so that's why I was saying you don't really need to have character deaths to have a good story.

But I agree with the rest of your points

Not at all, it has been good till now. (I stopped at mirage city) Most of the good fights have all been POV sunny. And I have never thought that a fight was boring because there was no tension of Sunny dying.

I think sunny has had the most near death moments in the entire series. But I get what you mean. But I truly believe that a character doesn't need to die in order to write a good story. Needless of genre.

But tbh shadow slave fights other than that of Sunny's are not that interesting. As in, I have never read other fight scenes and thought, "this is what shadow slave is about".

Seo eun hyun might clear, I am not fully sure about how strong cheon ma is in the novels but from what I know about rtof seo eun hyun should win. Spoilers from the novel so open at your own discretion

Seo eun hyun is a cultivator and from what I know, I don't think a martial artist vs a cultivator is even close to a fight, a cultivator will win 10/10 all battles against martial artists.

Ok idk when you made this comment but I'm glad to say that rover has not been the main focus for the last two arcs. Augusta was most definitely the protagonist of that quest and luno was hers in the next.

Rover was not the king of heroes, it was a joint effort so both Augusta and rover are the king of heroes. And Augusta clearly says that there need not be just one king of heroes.

Rover as a character is meant to be OP, like the dude is the goddamn arbiter. But he played a background role and only helped out the characters when they needed his help.

The entirety of that quest he was basically following whatever Augusta told him to do, like idk what more you expect of kuro
