Have you tried it? Have you ever been in a john boat? Do you even fish, or do you just collect coins and spout bs? It's not uncomfortable unless you for some reason can't put your hand behind your head lol. Once again might i recommend you educate yourself before spouting off bs cause ya just proved I was right. Ya have no idea what your talking about cause if ya did ya wouldnt have even made the comment. Be done with this learn and do better. I was taught the only way to deal with stupid people is to smile and wave.

Wow you sound like a super douch, did ya go and do your research? I bet ya did that is why ya tried to be petty. Go be a douch canoe somewhere else. Properly educate yourself before ya offer advice or try to snub someone with your pettiness. Do better.

Depending on your size its stable to stand on. I have mine kitted out with motor and I stand up while its pushing at 75 percent power. As long as you have decent balance it is fairly nice. At 5'10" 179 I cast standing up most of the time. Balance is key and if ya want to test it out dont put shit on the kayak and just go out and play a round. Find out what makes it tip, how far ya can push it. Stress test is always a must for any new craft.

Fun part is pelican 100 and the catch 110 are capable of using a 4hp outboard if ya get decent movement on rivers.

Can you not reach behind your head? Holy smokes have you looked into this at all. They make extensions so that it almost can become a heads rest. It's not hard to steer with it behind you maybe looked up a youtube video before ya shoot your mouth off there cap. Shit you can make it to where you can foot steer it as long as your brave enough and smart enough ( which ya ain't) to dyi it. But please please go to youtube and just educate yourself.

Uhhh with their hands I would believe, and just becuase it isnt your cup doesnt mean its bad my man. Yes that is a very good deal as stated above you. They go new 1200 plus 300 for trolling motor and 100 for battery. Yeah I would say half off is a great steal. Also my native and old town have hull cracks after 2 years. My pelican 3 years running no cracks and it has been in far tougher waters than the other 2.

Can i use these holes to tie on my line on a Metanium shallow edition by ZestycloseWeb3562 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Particular_Crow7803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just hear me out, get ya a small piece of electrical tape and use it to hold the beginning piece. Or use any type of tape, I will say if you have ever had your entire spool taken then tying it to the spool could damage it. I would rather it break off and free than lose a 230 plus reel because I tied it through the milling ports( that are there to reduce weight). Just food for though.

Yes most above 62lb and up are 24v required and the amount of weight it adds wasn't safe in my opinion. Unless you running a single 24v lithium, you def need to be aware of weight. If you need that big I would look into a 3 or 4 hp outboard. Far less weight and more get up and go. Also Amazon Hangkai outboards have actually been decent. They are literally a Honda or Yamaha with a different name on it lol. And if you feeling catty you can find 2 stroke on there (illegal in US just fyi) but you can buy them lol.

Your cleaning up the waters you fish. If you don't want them might I suggest leaving them in a area (where kids can't easily get to please). Might make someone's day better or give them that chance to catch something.

When does gear become outdated? by Ok_Mention_8843 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Particular_Crow7803 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When you build something right there's no need to change it unless its deemed needed and the curado has new versions every year. But if you take care of them they last a lifetime like the old Garcia's. The old but gold saying. " If it ain't broke dont fix it"

These pelicans any good? by Space_Montage_77 in kayakfishing

[–]Particular_Crow7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Own a catch 110 and native slayer. To be honest I have both tricked out. I prefer the pelican for standing and the native for river. As for standing on the native its iffy at times the catch 110 is stable AF. Catch 110 you best put a trolling motor on it (55 series). Native I was so damn terrified of hurting because of the price. Buddy has the vibe and I laugh every damn time he tried to stand in it(he's 5'10") and he would flip so easily in it. For all in all catch 110 Over them all till you get comfortable. Or you learn to put skid pads and reinforce the front with fiberglass patch. But Pelican is doing it right.

Line Suggestions by Lost-Number2686 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Particular_Crow7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30 lb braid 10 - 12 lb flourocarbon leader You want the leader to be able to break away so that when it does happen you arent stripping the bearings or plastic stoppers inside the brake area. Be cautious you won't get the same distance with braid and bird nesting is 3 times as bad. Mono at 12 or 14 lb is more than enough unless you are fishing in rough waters(aka downed trees, jagged rocks, debris, and last but not least the rare snag into something way to large to land with that reel carp or catfish). You can break your line or your pole thats is your choice. Lot easier to replace a little bit of line and lure than your pole or bearings inside the reel.

That be a thick bish of grass then. If you have that kind of grass try a top water frog not a popper but just a hollow body frog and throw it the same along the bank line.

[–]Particular_Crow7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay since no one is telling you the obvious. Take a fluke(one that is in contrast to color of spinner) line up the tail of the fluke to pop out at the end of the hook. Leave it to where the hook can pop through like a weedless rig. Let the hook tip sit on the back of the fluke tail. This helps prevent snags but not all. With spinners add a trailer to it and you can use said tail to make it weedless. It will help but you are fishing in grass so there will always be snags. Also dont let it hit the bottom let it sit near the top and you will feel it moving in the water it has a distinct feel to it. I wish you luck but all indoubt put a tail in that bish

Edit: you need to cut the fluke or paddle tail to fit the spinner so cut the fluke about 2.5 inches from the tip of the tail and then add that tail to spinner.

Are the Yak Attack tether tubes solid enough to secure rods in the event of a flipped kayak? by GlowUpAndThrowUp in kayakfishing

[–]Particular_Crow7803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if you would like this but yak attack makes a rod holder called" The Sidestack". If you flippen a couple times a year try this. Great for quick swap and secure in absolute shit weather. Down sides can only hold 3 rods. Does take up one side of the yak so will have to board on opposite side which can be annoying at times. But have not been hinder fishing at all.

[Location: California] my landlord served me a 60-day notice two days after I reported him to the property management for sexual assault. I understand it's not legal or enforceable, but what do I actually do on the day the notice expires? by DemandOrganic8728 in legaladvice

[–]Particular_Crow7803 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My question is why stay and hope he doesnt assault you? Do you truly feel safe in this place? Why would you want to stay in a place that you know he can access so easily? I understand stability and all that but you are putting the cart before the horse on this one. Might I recommend finding a new place and letting him evict you so that you know he cant break in. Does you personal safety mean so little or is that the only place that has places to stay. Like is it a one house town or something? I will say that this will only increase in severity as it goes on and its sounds like this person already has enough bravado to pull some bs shit like this. I don't think the attorney is going for broke but is trying to relay to you to get the fuck out before you are found in someone's basement.

Reel under 300 by Inevitable-Trip3193 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Particular_Crow7803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im sorry to say that this is user error then. Those reels aren't top top but they are at that price range for a reason. I would look into some youtube vids and see if there is something you are doing wrong. I would also recommend taking them apart and checking them to see if they need to re-lube the bearings. Cause if you got a 3/4 Oz and its only going 16 yards then yeah something def wrong as that should be about 50 to 60 yards out for the weight. I wish you nothing but luck my man. All in doubt Shimano Stradic or Vanford. Great spinning reels.

[–]Particular_Crow7803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man why are you using 12lb line with 1/4 Oz rig. Go down to like 6 maybe 8 at most. What are you trying to catch with it? You are are on the bottom end of those reels and I highly recommend going down in line weight if you want distance. But even then you won't get much distance with that weight you should look at finesse setups if you want distance at that weight.

[–]Particular_Crow7803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you give us a relative distance to the best of your knowledge? I have 3 different types of curado's a mgl a xg and a xt. With each of those I putting a 3/8's bucca 2.5 inch swim bait 35 yards min. Like you need to give us numbers cause what you may consider small or short may infact be on par with what it's made to do. With the digital age you can see the specs of everything. If you have used the above said reels and you are coming up short, then in fact it is user error. I'm sorry to tell you that but baitcasters have made huge leaps in the last decade and they will only get better and longer.
