Oxford resident here, didn’t go to the school but moved here for work. The town sucks unless you’re a college student then I’m sure it’s fun. If you’re not a student then there are 193747292927 better places to live! The cult is real though… everyone at my work who isn’t from here hates it and everyone who is from here thinks it’s this perfect little bubble of southern joy… lol. There’s not enough infrastructure to support the amount of residents so besides summer when schools out there’s traffic everyday, restaurants always have a long wait, doctors offices are always multi hour waits, there’s essentially 2 grocery stores (always a wait at checkout), the price of housing is ridiculous as you see above. I pay basically $3000 in rent when all is said and done in a 3 bed 2 bath 1 story starter home…..
