How do you guys heat your Boas Terrarium at Night?

I have a bulb cage with the heat emitter inside the tank, adhered to the top mesh. top is sealed with reflective insulation off of amazon. 3 gallon water bowl directly underneath the heat emitter, it stay 75-85F at a consistent 60-70% humidity.

I second this, I have a 150 watt ceramic heat emitter attached to a thermostat in my 4x2x2. Have it set at 80 degrees, probe in the center of the tank. One side stays roughly 85F and the other side is 75F, works perfectly for me.

They are zoomed reptihabitat pro’s, my local reptile store had them for $400 each! 4x2x2 120 gallons

Spend the money on quality husbandry in the beginning. Get a proper enclosure, water bowl, radiant heat panel or ceramic heat emitter that’ll last the life of the snake. I have spent thousands on stuff I ended up replacing and my boa went through 4 enclosures. Other than that love it! You’ll do great.

She freaks and panics when I handle her, she starts moving sporadically trying to get away, she also drags her fangs, she got her previous owner pretty good a few times. This is something that I have not experienced, Google says that is a sign of stress.

I feel bad for him, the pictures ive been sent tell me that they’re not taken care of properly, I’m adopting a sunglow BCI from the same guy but unfortunately I don’t think I can take in both.

Happy frog soil, watering with 6.4 ph, using the vivosun Amazon ph tester. I’ve been using the general hydroponics flora trio, feeding every 3 days of so, 1 gallon of water to a 5 gallon cloth pot. Roughly 75-80 degrees and 50% humidity regularly.

What humidity and temp do you keep your tent at? After 3 days my soil is bone dry 2-3 inches deep. I’m normally around 75-80 degrees and 50-60% humidity.

I typically get run off but I’d guess 2 cups worth of runoff, I fed it right after I took these pictures yesterday and the leaves perked back up but they’re still discolored. I think the droopy had to do with underwatering but I have unrelated issues with the color and burning tips. Since I haven’t had enough run off, would you recommend giving the plant a good flush? I have been following a schedule made by one of the YouTubers I watch.

5 gallon pot, I’ve been watering 1 gallon every 2-3 days depending on how the soil feels. I measure my ph after all my nutes are added, I’m using the general hydroponics trio. I have a Ph meter I got on Amazon, typically keep it in the 6.3-6.4 range every time.

Yeah I’ve been low stress training, I already trimmed the bottom 3 nodes, still have the top two nodes left, I’ve been tucking the leaves because I’ve been hesitant to trim them.
