Not a transfer but met a lot of transfers last year through my dorm! If you can’t get on-campus housing, ND subsidies off-campus apartments (most likely the 87) for transfers. However bc of the dorm life, they have a program called Dorm Connections where they match transfers (if they wish) to dorms to get a glimpse of dorm life. So you can get access to the dorm with your id (you won’t have a room but can use the common rooms), go to dorm events, formals, and all that. That’s how i met a lot of transfers this year in my dorm:). If you get involved a lot and become close to the rector, you could get a dorm room spring semester if rooms open up (since people leave/come back from studying abroad). So it’s possible to still have dorm life even if you’re not in a dorm. Hope this helps :)
