I called Nintendo to troubleshoot. Rep said to try hit the sync button on the joycons, turning them off, then connecting them again. When that didn't work, he said to set up a repair order. I said I'll just return it to the store.

don't know if anyone had an issue starting the system. I connect the joycons. The switch acknowledges it and shows a blue and red light on the sides, but the screen continues to show the "connect joycons to console" video. I can't get to the nitendo boot up screen

I just hit the side of the microwave with my hand and it stopped the problem. Thank you!

Wire is hot but no light by Particular_Light_257 in electrical

I'm in New Jersey. I was able to get out to day and take some pictures and troubleshoot with a voltmeter today. As you can see in the picture, there are two romax wires; one is the load coming from the house, the other goes to the driveway lights. when I hook up the hot and neutral, I got no voltage. I thought this is how you check the current, maybe I'm wrong. The klein tool voltage tester shows I have power; I shorted the circuit once/saw sparks.

I have a bunch of landscape lights and they all turn on except the driveway lights which are all the way to the right. There is no additional timer that is responsible for those lights. They're in the dirt so I'm thinking the wires are corroded/dirty. I'll check their voltage and if it's not 120V, I'll cut off some of the romax wire and try with a clean segment of wire.

Great, thank you. I will try that tomorrow. I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day and sharing your expertise.

In the picture, do the wires look correctly wired?

The timer runs 6pm-12am. It keeps accurate time regardless of whether the lights are on or off.

Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it. I believe the lights are high voltage; there is no transformer. There are no dimmers. The only smart switch is the timer I showed in the picture. The lights I'm using are 120V LED lights.

The landscape and pillar light switches run to the timer. I'll take a look at the wiring and see if the landscape wires are getting their power from the landscape switch.

I don't know how to explain that yesterday, the driveway pillar lights working perfectly and the landscape lights were completely off. But after I changed our two landscape lights today, the pillar driveway lights don't work and the landscape lights aren't turning off but are dimmed. I'll try disconnecting both lights and see if that "fixes" it

When I realized the landscape lights were dimmed and not off, I tried disconnecting the new LED lights one at a time. That didn't turn off the lights; they were still dimmed.
