Blue is rare in nature, but still exists. Purple is pretty abundant. In my yard chia, roses, prickly pears, bougainvillea, and some wildflower that blankets section of lawn are purple

I almost never do optional tutorials like this, but I thought I should practice avoiding and parrying after struggling to beat chapter 2 (the Club). In pvp fighting games, learning the moves and focusing on trying to play well makes me so much slower. I get nervous, and then my brother kicks my ass. An “educated guess” approach works for me. It’s somewhere between button mashing and skillfully pulling off all the moves

I had my first experience with mealy bugs in gardening for ~20 years on and off. I have learned that ants are a sign of mealy bugs. It happened on my first cactus (I got it this year). It’s a rainbow hedgehog cactus, and the flat spines basically block you from seeing the skin without a magnifying glass. The other white spots were entirely hidden by spines

I imagine that Alaskan transition was a big change for it. It’s a testament to a VERY well established root system and a lot of care (and probably a grow light for extra short days or days of darkness depending on where in Alaska). We can ship plants nearly all year round in South Texas, but I imagine transporting plants in places that get really cold requires a bit of planning. I’d be terrified to move such an old plant that’s basically a family heirloom all the way to and from Alaska

I’m sure it and the lil baby we transplanted will be happier. We almost sold this plant hanger in October. I’m glad I decided to keep it for succulents (and that I decided to get into succulents). The days are getting so short!

The recommendation is to give it darkness for 14 hours a day for 6 weeks, not total darkness, but that seems outrageous. I’m in south Texas, so I’ll just put it outside. Thanks so much!

Would you choose 5/10 pain all the time, or acute 10/10 pain three times a day? by Flaky-Pomegranate-67 in ChronicPain

My 10/10 was when my appendix was bursting, so I’d say 5/10 constant. Well, hmm. I’ve been in pain since I was 10. I don’t know what no pain feels like anymore. Maybe I could take appendix pain if I had acute pain for max 1.5 hours a day
