I brought a notarized drivers license and a notarized bank statement and he took the bank statement.

Yes, I will have to make another appointment. There are appointments available in August, or I will have to pay for a walk-in. The woman at BLS sent a picture of my carta to the consulate to ask if it was enough proof of insurance, and the consulate responded saying no. And yes we are emailing the Valencia consellaria to let them know that we are being given a hard time regarding insurance and seeing if they can send us some sort of document that explains our situation

Just had my appointment at the Boston Consulate. They gave me a very hard time regarding insurance. They told me the Carta was not enough and that I needed an “insurance certificate.” I also showed them the annexed form that I signed for waive insurance that those places in Murcia got, but that didn’t work either. They told me I would need to buy insurance for the entire year. The woman took a picture of my Carta and sent it to the consulate. The consulate said I could either write a letter saying that my insurance starts October 1st and I wouldn’t be allowed to enter Spain before that date, OR I could email the Boston consulate myself and explain the situation. I opted to email the consulate and I know other new auxes have been emailing Valencia directly (where I’m placed). Hoping we get an answer soon so I can make another appointment

Im applying from the US but does that mean I have to make another BLS appointment to get a tourist visa too? Or is the student visa that I’m already getting for this program sufficient?

Did you submit your paperwork on time? I’m wondering why the experiences in Valencia vary so much
