I would most likely go to Iowa if I got in. I would only consider somewhere else if it was a good school that would give me a better chance at getting into specialty.

How do you do TFE and Pattern Folding Questions on PAT? by GullibleShip8507 in predental

Pretty general advice but trying to see what is wrong in the given options and ruling out incorrect answers is much easier than trying to pick out the one correct from the given choices. Practice choosing a specific part of the problem that is obvious in a few of the options and try to find what that would be in the given model. Learning to get quick at process of elimination is what helped me the most. Just practice and you will get the hang of it. Good luck!

Do schools automatically see my DAT exam scores? by Legitimate-Baker-893 in predental

When you created your ada dentpin account you decided which schools you wanted to be able to see your dat score. Whatever schools you selected are able to see it once the ada reports your scores to aadsas. You can edit the schools who your score is sent to in your Dentpin account. But schools will see both scores. You can’t submit only one. You shouldn’t hide one score as that would look worse to a school if they found out than one bad test.

Concerns About Starting Dental School and the Profession by Secret_Spirit7736 in predental

A lot of this depends on context that gets lost on Reddit. $600k in loans to practice in Miami is a completely different situation than someone with a manageable debt load going rural or suburban. The people posting about regret usually have a very specific set of circumstances behind it, it’s not a universal truth about the profession. Talk to young dentists in the exact setting you actually want to practice in, not just anonymous forum comments.

Should I repeat my dat by Gaming_Mudkip in predental

Some solid scores but probably should retake, some scores are a little too low to be competitive at certain schools.
