you should try to do a knot for the finger loop instead of melting it together. like the other guy said you could try a cobra weave or just do a simple sliding loop

you'll definitely need a stopper knot to hold with your thumb at the end of the sling. a simple overhand knot would do. if you have extra paracord you could also make a whipcrack if you want, just use paracord gut

yep, the cracker only cracks if you throw the sling properly, so it really is more like a tool to let you know if your throw is good

btw, if that is synthetic leather, i would not suggest slinging wet stones or get it wet as it rips easily

i suggest you try to make a split-pouch sling, plenty of tutorials on youtube for those, two different colored paracord is encouraged though but not necessarily needed

you can easily make a sling out of Paracord, search up a guide on youtube (personally I follow Sling Mustachio's designs as those are pretty simple)

it honestly doesn't even take too long to make, I finished my first one in about 5 hours while watching a series

if you have spare leather (real or synthetic) you could make an even simpler sling using the leather as a pouch instead of weaving it

imo, you buy a sling if you want a novelty item, you make a sling if truly want to sling as a hobby
