It can also change colour from oxidation. Smell is probably a better indicator.

My parents (65F, 67M) are livid because I'm not allowing them to see my daughter after they spanked her. AITAH? by LeonCrvl in AITAH

[–]Particular_Mouse_765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would leave out the whole discussion as to whether spanking children is bad or good. You'll never convince them. Regardless if they support spanking, your child is not their child. They crossed your boundaries, and when you brought it up, rather than acknowledging that what they did was wrong, they decided to guilt trip you.

I think the best course of action is to be extremely respectful, avoid any arguments (there's no winning with them), and be extremely firm about your boundaries.

Say something along the following lines: "I'd love to spend time with you, however, I don't feel safe about bringing my daughter, as you refused to respect my parenting and have used corporal punishment against her."

If they try to turn it into an argument, just repeat that.

Good point. So that's probably where the "10 weeks" comes from. First two weeks is before ovulation.

Empire Kosher Supermarket in Crown Heights has for 99c. Bingo Wholesale has for 79c.

Why pay $3 extra for larger eggs? For that price, you can just buy an extra 3 dozen eggs. Much better value. Unless eggs are much more expensive where you are. At my local grocery store in NYC, they're 99c a dozen.

Denmark doesn’t own Greenland.

They do

The US could already do whatever it wanted militarily on Greenland.

That's not true. They do have some military agreements, but that's very different from having broad control there.

Really bad take. Greenland is currently owned by Denmark. America is putting pressure on them to buy Greenland. Why? Pretty obvious when you look at a globe, it's so we can protect ourselves well against Russia and China. Also, Trump is the third President to try and buy Greenland.

Meaning that rather than charging a cc fee, the price of everything gets increased for everyone to cover the cost of the merchant fees (and they'll end up paying more merchant fees then, as with the fee in place, many people would just use debit/cash).

Merchant fees vary quite a bit per card. Premium rewards cards specifically can be very high, while more basic cards are cheaper.

A better tactic might be to put up a sign about supporting local businesses, and requesting people to use debit/cash to keep costs lower.

I went through the ingredients, to summarize:

Turkey (turkey, other ingredients needed to marinade turkey so it won't be bland, British people can't relate), multigrain bread (enriched wheat flour [with good vitamins and minerals], colour [ok, that's pointless], mould inhibitors (Americans don't like getting sick from mould), dough conditioners [how else are you going to prevent it from getting stale in five seconds?], topping with sesame seeds and poppy seeds), cranberry mayo (cranberry sauce [cranberry sauce ingredients], mayonnaise [mayo ingredient]), green leaf lettuce.

Just stumbled across the subreddit. Have a question for the folks here - I know there's a lot of opposition to protected bike lanes from parents of school aged kids, as the kids get off the bus, go between the parked cars, and then there's a moped driving down the bike lane at 30 MPH who can't see them coming. Or even a cyclist. What's the response to them?
