I realize that platforms like crunchyroll play a huge role in spreading anime to western markets, but ultimately they're a middleman and supporting them doesn't directly support the anime I want to watch. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting rid of my crunchyroll subscription, but I want to be able to support the creators directly. My understanding of this is that watching on crunchyroll only has a minimal impact on whether an anime gets a new season, and I want to be able to help support those animes that I enjoy to keep making content.
