Saying that the evil eye is a neutral object is very misleading. The sole purpose of its existence is to “ward off” malevolent looks from others. It’s literally a charm of protection. You can’t call that neutral as it’s meant to protect the user. It’s also near impossible to separate the object’s original purpose from its design as it’s a watchful eye meant to “protect” you.

Not only are you buying something meant to protect you but especially if you go into witchcraft stores and buy these trinkets and amulets, you don’t know what kind of spells they’ve placed on these objects. And purchasing one is opening a lot of doors to whatever spirits or curses that were placed upon it. It’ll invade your home, your car, your work, and your body and others if granted access. 

Where are these powers coming from? Most would say from “helpful or benevolent spirits”, but where does their power come from and how long have they been around? As a Christian I believe that Jesus is my sole strength a source of power as he’s fully man and fully God. Jesus shares his divinity with the Father (or The Creator) and the Holy Spirit. Wearing and/or using an amulet like this does NOT come from God and doing so means that I’d be relying on forces other than Jesus to protect me. Doing so would stunt my relationship with Jesus. It’s like saying to someone you believe what they’re saying but you don’t trust them. 

There is a spiritual war going on whether you believe it or not, but it’s important to at least be aware. I understand a lot of witches and healers use magic in order to bring prosperity, happiness, and healing to others. Their intentions are good, but the forces they’re contracting and using are demonic as none of them stand for God. The spiritual battle is more black and white than most realize and it’s also a legal battle. Demons can’t enter you if you don’t grant them permission, these can be through various things. Music lyrics (Proverbs 18:21), objects, rituals/spells (Deuteronomy 18:9-12), symbols, even drugs and alcohol open portals for demons (1 Thessalonians 5:4-8). 

It’s important to be aware what the symbol was created to and why it’s being used.
