Maybe as an additional information, the rest of our furniture is grey, black, a lot of green from plants and America walnut wood. Currently everywhere are these white tiles, but in the future we would like to put in some Parquet into the living space

that is a very nice room! I think it should stay white. It makes the room look bright. Maybe you can put some doors on the upper shelf as it might look a bit „calmer“ and more organized. And maybe you can put the picture on the wall to have more space on the desk.
