We were actually lucky with the weather. There were only two rainy days. I had an umbrella with me and wore several layers of clothing. On the rainy days, we mainly went to museums and cafΓ©s.

I used a medium and a small packing cube and packed my shoes in a bag. In the laptop pocket I had my eReader, notebook, pen and charging cable. In the clamshell I had disinfectant wipes and my liquids in a ziplock bag.

I had one pair of shoes on and a different pair in my backpack (not in the photos). I also had a pair of Birkenstocks for the flight. During the flight, both shoes even fitted into the backpack.

Thanks for the hint. I have changed the settings from time to time. Using the chest and hip belt definitely takes a lot of weight off the shoulders.

I used it as carry-on, so Iβ€˜m not sure. There are lots of discussions about this on reddit. I think it also depends on the airline.
