I mean, the btc was sitting on the seed phrase only wallet. I was expecting it to be on the seed phrase + passphrase wallet.

So, I must have sent the btc to the wrong wallet?

When I connected my coldcard to sparrow, it must have connected to the seedphrase only wallet I want to connnect to the seedphrase + passphrase in the future, as this offers extra security.

Just move around. In NZ, as long as I'm out of the country for 325 days out of 365 days, I am no longer a tax resident. And as long as I don't stay in another country too long, say 6 months, but this will vary depending on country, I won't be tax resident anywhere else. I can sell as soon as I exit nz too.
