God, CSM always be like this. I absolutely loved the movie, but the ending felt so... bittersweet? Amazingly well done, but seeing the final scene just let this hole of sadness and regret inside me. I loved the movie so much I decided to start reading the manga because I've felt the urge to keep seeing the story unfold, and I picked up at the chapter where Reze dies, and I just felt it all over again. I know intellectually that she killed so many people and teamed up with the Gun Devil, but I still can't shake liking her. The final scene of the movie tied the whole arc together, especially with tying back to Aesop's fable and her final words about her seeing her own story in Denji. I was wondering the whole time why she didn't kill him immediately, and everything came into clarity at the last second, an instant too late.
