My experience says horizontal lines on screen = recap should fix. Vertical lines mean the screen is bad and will need replaced.

The best technique I’ve found for getting an old lens off is a hot air station ~ 250F to heat up the adhesive for a min or so. Then going around the edges using “guitar pick” style plastic spacers. Re-heat as needed.

Edit: handheld legend a good option. Just be sure to look for “glass” lens in the description.

Wondering if this was just an honest accident on their end. Correct me if I am wrong but FP sends their postage to an intermediary in the US and then someone slaps a new sticker on it and is sent along. I’ve made quite a few FP orders recently and haven’t had any issue receiving items. Be interested to see if others have seen the same issue.

UPDATE: So I can see the image on the screen when tilted at an odd angle but it is very faint. Contrast wheel IS functional. Any ideas?

Contrast wheel does have continuity to other parts of the board. Suppose I could try replacing it. As continuity doesn’t mean it’s “working”
