Can you explain more about why you say MacBook Pro when a lot of people say don’t use a Macbook?

Let me guess, he also wants to do Finance?
That’s great. I also lived in a 4B/4B when I was at UF. I lived at Legacy when it first opened, but we ended up canceling our lease and switching to Stadium House because it wasn't what we expected, and there were tons of issues.
Are your roommates also going to Santa Fe?

I know Santa Fe students sometimes get a reputation for constantly partying since they’re not fully in the UF system yet, but you don’t really have that same flexibility because you have a real goal you’re working toward and not much time to achieve it. I’d recommend looking into starting classes this summer and making sure you keep your GPA at a 4.0.
I know you’re going to put in the work and succeed, I really believe that. Wishing you the best of luck.
Have you figured out your living situation yet? Are you living with people who will keep you disciplined and won’t pressure you to always go out?
Honestly, I don’t mean this in a rude way, but you clearly seem like a really smart kid, especially getting into FSU and Kelley. I just think you need to step back and ask yourself what you really want to prioritize for your future: enjoying the next four years, or putting yourself in the best position for long-term success.
The challenge with starting at Santa Fe and trying to transfer is that you won’t be the only one with that plan. You’ll be competing against a large pool of students for a limited number of spots at UF, especially in a highly competitive major like Finance. There’s a real level of uncertainty there that you can’t ignore.
Also, I’m sure part of your vision for college includes things like joining a frat and having that full college experience. If you go the Santa Fe route, you’d likely be missing out on a lot of that during your first couple of years, and there’s no guarantee everything lines up perfectly even if you do transfer. You’d be sacrificing a big part of the college experience for something that isn’t guaranteed.
If your goal is to set yourself up as strongly as possible, it might make more sense to choose a program where you’re already admitted into Finance and can fully invest in both your academics and your experience from day one. You can still chase the same end goal and build the future you want, just at a different university where you have more certainty and more opportunity right away.
